El sistema

Between august 2025 and april 2026, Even was employed as a teacher in orchestral percussion at El sistema, Stockholm. There he was teaching children between the age of 6 and 10 in the art of music, through percussion and ensemble playing. The groups varied from 10 to 15 children per lecture. The children were introduced to both rhythmical and melodical percussion instruments.

Even also held individual lectures with more advanced and older pupils, ranging from the age of 14 to 18. 
In the advanced courses, the lectures primarily focused on Timpani, drum kit, and four mallet Vibraphone/Marimba playing.

Throughout his employment at El sistema, Even participated in and completed courses, seminars and lectures on the topic of teaching music.

Marching Bands

Even also has, during the course of the years, been teaching percussion in marching bands in both Norway and Sweden. The bands Even have been teaching in consists of both school-bands and adult amateur bands. These lectures were primarily group based.
