Musical education

Even has studied Classical Percussion for 3 years with Assistant Professor John Ivar Knutzen and Timpani with Assistant Professor Bjørn Seiersten at the Music conservatory of Trondheim, as well as musicology for one year at NTNU, Trondheim.
In addition, he has completed an exchange year as part of his Bachelor’s degree at the world-renowned University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he studied under Percussionists such as Gerhard Windbacher (former timpanist at the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra), Anton Mittermayr (former timpanist at the Vienna Philharmonic), and David Christopher Panzl (multipercussionist and world renowned artist.)

Between August 2022 and June 2024, Even studied for his Master’s degree in Percussion Performance at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden. There, he has studied under percussionists Joakim Anterot, Daniel Berg and Mikael Nilsson, as well as with multiple visiting performers and lecturers.

In his time in Vienna, Even was also lectured in the Performance and Philosophy of Contemporary Music by pianist and conductor Marino Formenti, with whom he worked with in projects both in Salzburg and in Vienna.
